Health Care

Evidence based learning that provides effective communication frameworks for positive behaviour support and conflict management.

We provide a collaborative training experience to the Health & Social Care sector so that services and staff can identify and professionally support individuals who present behaviours that challenge or are of concern.

Health & Social Care staff need to be trained in how to manage a wide range of behaviours expressed by clients, visitors, carers and relatives from a legal, ethical and professional perspective. Presenting behaviours that challenge can often be related to the individual’s physical and/or mental health condition. However, the residual impact of experiencing conflict scenarios can have a lasting negative effect on the client, staff and organisation if not correctly addressed.

Training with Pride equips Health & Social Care workers with the necessary communication skills and confidence required to provide an ethical, pro-active approach when supporting those experiencing distress, or presenting potentially harmful behaviours, even when they may require a safe, last resort physical intervention to keep themselves and those around them safe from harm.

Staff will be able to work with service users empowered with the knowledge of how to identify and avoid behavioural triggers and understand how their own response can affect client behaviours, thereby preventing re-occurrence and minimising risk.
